In Agriculture 1010: Introduction to Agriculture, students will have a chance to explore and gain an understanding of the diversity and significance of agriculture. A background in the field of agriculture is not required.

Agriculture 1040, students will:

  • Identify and demonstrate the basic steps involved in raising and caring for a domestic animal.
  • Understand the general care required to ensure an animal's health.

Agricullture 1050, students will gain knowledge, skills and attitudes nedded for growing and propagating plants.

They will:

  • learn how to select plants appropriate for certain climatic conditions.
  • identify specific requirements for the production of plant commodities.
  • learn about technological systems used in a plant production enterprise.
  • identify potential hazards found in the plant production area and safe practices for dealing with these hazards.
  • look into how you might find a rewarding career that involves the production of plant commodities.

Agriculture 3000 - In this course you will recognize and assess the hazards and learn about managing the risks of working in an agricultural environment. You will identify community resources that may be available to you to ensure that you develop safety awareness, and learn about ways to ensure your workplace is a safe environment to work in.
